Career Fair for 10th Grade Students

posted Feb 25, 2013, 11:50 AM by Amanda Yearwood

Recently 10th grade students had the opportunity to take an interest assessment that yielded an idea of which career clusters most suited their preferences.  On Thursday, March 14th, 10th grade students from across the county will be attending the Cullman Area Career Fair at Wallace State Community College.  This event will feature speakers from the community in all 16 career clusters listed on the attached letter.  Students will be able to ask questions and hear from real life workers in the career areas that they are most interested in.  We feel that this is a wonderful opportunity for our students to explore their career interests!

We will travel by bus and leave the school at 11:00 a.m. and will return by 2:45 p.m.  Since this will interrupt our normal lunch time, we will stop to eat on the way.  Students will need money for lunch.  Most likely we will stop on Olive Street to give the students a choice of CiCi’s, Arby’s, or Chick-Fil-A.

In order to attend this event, students must have signed permission.  A parent letter with the above information is attached.  A copy of this form will also be sent home with students on February 26th, 2013.
