Important Related Notes:

  • Students are required to repeat failed core courses.  As of 2013, this requires repeating the whole course, not just the semester failed.
  • Honors level courses are not offered in summer school.  Failed honors courses may be substituted with standard courses (i.e. Honors English would be replaced by English).
  • Due to the sequential nature of core curriculum courses and prerequisites, any student in grades 9-12 who fails a required course should attend summer school to stay on track for graduation.
  • Required course completion is required for participation in graduation exercises.
